Don't Break the Ice!

I have just finished putting this over in a Google Document to share with you. This can be used with any grade level for a center. I put my grade level sight words on the cubes of the game. The students would take turns reading a word and then trying to break that ice cube out of the frame without busting any of the others. They were also required to write the word on a square of their worksheet. The student with the most words read is the winner. Enjoy!

Oceans Away- worksheet

Oceans Away
I made a worksheet but it would not let me put letters in the boxes because it is an older version of Word. I greatly dislike it! My last laptop had the new Word.

Oceans Away

I was helping some of my Kindergarten teacher buddies to find some items for their upcoming Ocean  unit. I suggested to one of my friends that she could use my sand box I was using to review letters  in my Kindergarten reading classes. She was not up for that because she is a neat freak! LOL...she didn't want the sand in her room. I made her a new box using shredded dark blue and light blue paper. We are going to use Lakeshore learning shells in the box like mine but with less the mess. The shells only cost about $10 at Lakeshore and they are already printed with the alphabet. I will upload the sheet I made to go with this learning center for you all tomorrow.

Things to Share

This is one of my wreaths I made a few years ago. I had to redo this last year because the kids keep picking off the crayons.

 HOPPY Birthday!

I saw on someone's blog where they used a balloon cut-out to make birthday gifts for their students. I decided to use a frog instead because I like frogs and I loved the graphic! I am going to let the students pick out which one they want for their birthday! :)

These are shirts I made for my nieces this summer. I know this has nothing to do with school but I wanted to share. :)

This is a new world to me. I have enjoyed blog hopping so much that I wanted to start my own blog to share ideas with RTI teachers. I hope to have ideas to help K-2 teachers help readers.
