RTI2 in Tennessee is my expertise! RTI is also here to stay. It is driving education and I feel is in the best interest of the students.
Each day, I work with students struggling in reading and math for 1st grade and 2nd grade. I pull these students in groups of 5 or less to my classroom to work on skills hey have not mastered. We are lucky enough in our school to have a master schedule where each grade level is working on RTI for the same hour.
I have a question for those of you familiar with RTI. What curricula are you using for your tier 2 & 3 students? Also, how long are you working sigh your tiers? Are you a regular teacher having to do your own tier work?
I would love to share ideas with you!
Our state has information on www.TNcore.org that may be helpful to you!

At the end of the year, I always like to give the students time to review standards and also be creative. I came across Lakeshore Learning's Project page this month and fell in love with the crafts you can use to enhance your lessons. From bird feeders to Cinco de Mayo activities, this website is a must see.
Are you burned out on lesson planning and trying to find new ideas to cover the Common Core Standards? Do you find resources online that say "Common Core Standards" but they are not really aligned to the new standards? If so, this is the workbook for you.
I have had the pleasure of using the Kindergarten, First grade and Second Grade workbooks with my Response to Intervention Reading groups this year. These workbooks have my cut my planning time in half and have also given me new ideas to use in Reading. The graphics are cute and there are lots of activities to cover each standard.
Not only do these workbooks have Reading lessons, they have all subjects for your grade level aligned with the Common Core State Standards.
If you are looking for new ideas for Fourth grade, this Fourth Grade Common Core Workbook is a steal for $39.99.

I came across a website I have used a lot in the past on the SmartBoard to help my students with their reading skills. How many of you have heard of DIBELS INTERVENTIONS ELECTRIFIED (http://www.teachers.cr.k12.de.us/~galgano/dibel2.htm)? This site has games divided according letter recognition, rhyme, making words, and letter sounds. This is a great way to have an interactive lesson while brushing up on early literacy skills. CHECK IT OUT!
